Pictures!

Well, I finally got around to organizing all these pictures so I could post them here and on Facebook.  There are a lot more here, and some of these are also on Facebook.

We are here in San Carlos, waiting for the engine to be fixed.  The diesel engine guru, Omar, has removed the fuel injector pump (I think) and it is getting an overhaul or the functional equivalent.  We are supposed to get it back this afternoon.  I sure hope this fixes the problems.

Here are two pictures of our marina in Santa Rosalia.  I just loved it.  First is the marina office, and then the entrance to the docks.

Here is a sunset after a pretty stormy day, on the trip between Santa Rosalia and Isla Partida.  We had planned to stop at a different anchorage, but we were going too fast and conditions were too rough so we sailed on throughout the night.

When we talk about reefing our sails in strong winds, this is what it looks like.  We decrease the amount of sail area by pulling the main down at bit and securing it.  To reef the jib, we just don't unfurl it all the way.

This is an area of Isla Partido that was covered in guano.  There are pelicans and boobies and gulls everywhere, even ospreys.  That makes for a lot of guano.

Here is a sunset - this was taken on our last night in this anchorage the first time we stayed there.

I am going to end this post now, and start a new one.  More great pictures are on their way!
